Overview

View My Desk is a remote desktop application operated by MegaHostZone ("we", "us"), the data controller responsible for your information. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you can exercise. It is written to be clear rather than exhaustive — if you have questions, reach us through the support form.

Information we collect

To run the service reliably and securely, we collect:

• Device & identity data. A device identifier and your numeric partner ID, plus basic technical details reported by the app on registration: operating system and version, CPU model, amount of RAM, system architecture, computer name (hostname), device type (desktop or laptop), and the app version.
• Connection data. Your network (IP) address, which we use to establish connections and which we may convert into an approximate country for aggregate statistics.
• Session metadata. When a session ends, we log non-content details on our servers: the connecting and host partner IDs, start and end time, duration, and whether a relay was used. We do not log what happened on screen.
• Account data (optional). If you create a customer account, we store your name, email address, phone number, country, and a securely hashed password.
• Billing data (optional). If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by PayPal. We receive and store an invoice record and a PayPal transaction reference — not your card or bank details.
• Support data. If you contact us, we keep the name, email, message, and IP address you submit so we can respond.

What we never collect

We do not record your screen, capture keystrokes, or store the content of your sessions or transferred files. Session media is end-to-end encrypted between the two computers; when a relay is used to traverse firewalls, it only ever forwards encrypted data and cannot read it.

How we use information

We use the data above to operate and secure the service — establishing and maintaining sessions, enforcing plan limits, processing payments and support requests, preventing abuse, and producing aggregate usage statistics that help us improve reliability. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us operate: PayPal for payment processing (subject to PayPal's own privacy policy), and our own relay infrastructure, which handles only encrypted session traffic. We may disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

We retain device and session records for as long as your account or device remains active, plus a limited period afterwards for security, analytics, and legal purposes. Account and billing records are kept as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete data sooner (see your rights below).

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain uses. You can also clear your local connection history within the app at any time, and unattended access stays disabled unless you enable it yourself. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the support form and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

Connections to our services use TLS, session media is end-to-end encrypted, account passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and access to stored data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

View My Desk is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required to consent in their jurisdiction.
